Nacka Gymnasium is looking for a driven teacher in visual arts and media subjects

We are looking for a driven teacher for a term substitute position in visual arts and media subjects

Your assignment

As a teacher in visual arts and media subjects, you are an important part of the development work within the teaching and subject teams.

You are proactive and innovative, wanting to contribute to making the teaching in visual arts and media subjects relevant and engaging. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching in your subject based on the curriculum. You collaborate with other teachers in visual arts and media subjects and contribute to showcasing students' work in the school through exhibitions and other activities. You work together with teaching teams and student health teams to ensure that students receive a good education and study situation.

Your experience

For this position, you need to have:

• teaching certification with subject competence in visual arts, media production, and digital creation for upper secondary school
• experience working as a teacher in visual arts and media subjects
• documented pedagogical skills and proficiency in working with Photoshop, Illustrator, and similar programs
• experience using IT as a pedagogical tool

You will be part of the teaching team for the programs Society Media and Society Art and Design. To succeed in the role of a teacher with us, it is important that you can collaborate, communicate, and build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You understand that good communication, trust, and relationships create better conditions for students to achieve their goals. You have the ability to independently manage, structure, and take responsibility for your time and tasks. You take initiative and start activities without waiting for instructions.

In your role as a teacher in visual arts and media subjects, you drive development and create collaborations both internally and externally. You have experience in photo and video editing, animation, and some sound production. You are also familiar with image generation in AI.
